On November 14th, 2023, there will be a meeting that brings together the most prominent figures in the field of oncology to discuss a vital step forward in Polish healthcare.
The experts’ consensus meeting will be attended by representatives from the Ministry of Health (Ministerstwo Zdrowia), National Health Fund, Agency for Health Technology Assessment and Tariff System (Agencja Oceny Technologii Medycznych i Taryfikacji), National Oncology Council, Oncological Societies, as well as Leaders of Guideline Development Teams, National Consultants and representatives of the National Research Institute of Oncology (Narodowy Instytut Onkologii im. Marii Skłodowskiej-Curie – Państwowy Instytut Badawczy).
The meeting will be moderated by:
- Prof. Piotr Rutkowski, Chairman of the Ministerial Team for the National Oncology Strategy
- Prof. Maciej Krzakowski, National Consultant in Clinical Oncology
- Marcin Hańczaruk, Co-Chairman of the Alliance for Innovation Foundation
This gathering, organized by the National Research Institute of Oncology, in collaboration with the Polish-American Alliance For Innovation Foundation, will focus on discussions and collaborative proposal development for the integration of diagnostic and treatment guidelines within the Polish healthcare system. The topics will focus on oncology guideline roles, development challenges, quality indicators and collaborative implementation of the guidelines.
Their collective expertise will guide and enrich the discussions during this important gathering. We hope that this meeting will have a lasting impact on the future of oncological care in Poland.
