February 3, 2025 – The official kick-off meeting of the working group for the adaptation of NCCN Guidelines for Hodgkin Lymphoma marked the beginning of an important pilot project. This initiative aims to tailor internationally recognized guidelines to the specific needs of the Polish healthcare system, ensuring optimal treatment strategies for patients.
The working group is composed of esteemed experts in the field of hematology and oncology:
• Prof. Jan Maciej Zaucha (Chairman of the group)
• Prof. Ewa Lech-Marańda
• Prof. Anna Czyż
• Prof. Tomasz Wróbel
• Prof. Wojciech Jurczak
• Prof. Sebastian Giebel
• Prof. Ewa Paszkiewicz-Kozik
During the session, participants were introduced to the adaptation framework, gaining insights into its practical implementation. Key responsibilities were assigned to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
By the end of February, a follow-up meeting will take place to assess progress, review expert feedback, and refine the adaptation process. This collaborative effort marks a significant step toward enhancing the quality of Hodgkin Lymphoma treatment in Poland.
This initiative is the result of a partnership between the National Comprehensive Cancer Network® (NCCN®), the Institute of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine (IHT) and the Alliance for Innovation Foundation (AFI). We are full of hope that this project will bring tangible benefits to patients with blood cancers, improving their access to the most effective and up-to-date treatment options. Through joint efforts and expert collaboration, we strive to make a lasting impact on hematologic oncology care.
