Kosciuszko Day Resolution approved in Virginia
The Kosciuszko Day Resolution was passed on March 15th making October 15th Kosciuszko Day in the state of Virginia. Plans are being made to celebrate the first Kosciuszko Day on October 15, 2018 with a series of events to mark the historic event and the long history between Poland and Virginia.
Special thanks to Robert Joskowiak of AFI and the newly appointed Honorary Consul of Poland to Virginia and delegate Nick Freitas of the Virginia Assembly for their work to recognize General Kosciuszko.
As a surprise Delegate Freitas also submitted and passed a Pulaski Day in Virginia. Virginia appears to be the only state to officially recognize both Polish heroes for the contribution to The United States.
